HALMO, Martin: The apparatus of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Slovakia. An outline of its organization and functioning based on documents from 1960
The article examines the organization and activities of the apparatus of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Slovakia (ÚV KSS) during the socialist era. As the administrative and organizational core of the party, the apparatus played a central role in implementing ideological directives and shaping political, social, and economic processes in Slovakia. Based on archival documents, the study explores the structural development of the ÚV KSS apparatus, its systemization practices, and personnel policies. It highlights the functions of various departments and, through selected documents, provides an illustrative analysis of one department during a defined period, detailing its structure and work plan. The article thus contributes to a deeper understanding of the functioning of communist administration in socialist Czechoslovakia.
