The documents are presented by a selection related to a little-known process with Pavel Jančovič et al. Ivan Štelcer emerged as one of the main defendants in the trial. This "anti-state" group was accused primarily of contacts with Western "capitalist" states, of distributing "anti-state" printed matter, leaflets and memorandum, and of trying to restore Slovak statehood. Pavol Jančovič eventually died in prison. Ivan Štelcer was imprisoned for the longest time as he was released only in May 1968. The documents are intended to present the method of the StB investigation, the form and content of the investigation, whereas Ivan Štelcer later refuted most of the information included in the documents in his biographical book.
